Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes the activities that are prohibited when you use AIFont. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to it. We may take action against accounts that breach this policy, up to and including immediate suspension and termination without refund.
1. Illegal activity
- Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, or to plan, promote or facilitate unlawful activity.
- Do not generate or distribute fonts that infringe copyright, trademark, design right or any other intellectual property right of a third party.
- Do not impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Do not violate export controls, sanctions or applicable financial regulations.
2. Abuse, harassment and harmful content
- Do not harass, threaten, defame or incite violence against any individual or group.
- Do not generate fonts whose descriptions request slurs, hateful imagery, sexually explicit content involving minors, or content promoting self-harm or terrorism.
- Do not use the Service to create material that endangers children or is used to harass or defraud a person.
3. Spam and unsolicited communication
- Do not send unsolicited bulk email, SMS or messages using fonts you generate.
- Do not use generated fonts in phishing, social engineering, or deceptive advertising.
- Do not sign up for third-party services in bulk on behalf of anyone else.
4. Automated access and scraping
- Do not scrape, crawl or harvest the Service, its font library or its generated output without our written permission.
- Do not use automated systems, bots, bots-as-a-service, browser automation or headless browsers to access the Service beyond what a normal user does manually.
- Do not circumvent rate limits, credit accounting or any technical restriction.
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile or create derivative works of our font engine, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Do not resell, redistribute or sublicense the raw font files you obtain from the Service.
5. Resource abuse and service disruption
- Do not generate content in bulk in a way that degrades the Service for other users.
- Do not upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account or API key.
- Do not overload, probe or test the Service for vulnerabilities without written authorisation and a safe-harbour agreement.
- Do not use multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, credit limits or a suspension.
6. Misleading use
- Do not present a generated font as the work of another designer, or as an original human design when it was not.
- Do not claim that a generated font is registered as a trademark when it has not been.
- Do not use generated fonts to deceive consumers about product origin, quality or certification.
- Do not remove or alter copyright, watermark or license notices from font files or certificates.
7. Content ownership and third-party rights
- You are responsible for the font descriptions you submit and for how you use the resulting fonts.
- You must not submit descriptions that are copied from a third party's confidential work, or that instruct the Service to reproduce a specific existing commercial typeface by name.
- Generated fonts may be previewed and licensed by other users from our public library. You retain your commercial license to the fonts you licensed.
8. Consequences of a breach
- Warning: we may issue a written warning for a minor first-time breach.
- Suspension: we may suspend generation, downloads or access while we investigate.
- Termination: we may terminate the account and remove access without refund where the breach is serious, repeated, or causes harm to others.
- Referral: we may report illegal activity to the relevant authorities and cooperate with lawful requests.
Where we suspend or terminate, any pending paid period may be forfeited. We aim to act proportionately and will tell you why.
9. Reporting abuse
Report abuse, infringement or illegal content to abuse@pandada.ai. Include the URL, a description of the problem and any evidence you have. We review reports and take appropriate action, usually within 3 business days.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP. The "last updated" date reflects the current version. Breach of an updated policy counts as breach from the date it takes effect.
