Privacy Policy

AIFont Ltd. ("AIFont", "we", "us") operates the AIFont website and service. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use AIFont, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to https://aifont.tech and to the AIFont web application.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

• Account data: email address, display name, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text and cannot recover it.
• Font descriptions (prompt data): the text you type into the generator, plus the style parameters and generated font files produced from it.
• License records: the typeface you license, your name and email as printed on the license certificate, and the issue date.
• Support correspondence: if you email support@pandada.ai, we keep the thread so we can answer you.
• Billing records: your plan, invoice references and payment status. Full card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.

1.2 Information collected automatically

• Technical data: IP address, user agent, browser language, referring page and pages viewed.
• Usage data: which fonts you preview, download, favorite or license, and how often you generate.
• Cookies and local storage: a session token so you stay logged in, your interface language, and a "remember me" cookie if you enable it.

2. How we use your data

• To create and maintain your account and license records.
• To process the font descriptions you submit, generate typefaces, and return results to you.
• To process payments, issue invoices and provide receipts.
• To send service messages such as password resets, payment confirmations and security notices.
• To detect fraud, abuse and security incidents, and to enforce our Acceptable Use Policy.
• To understand aggregate product usage so we can improve the service.

3. How AI processing works

When you submit a description, we send that text to our language-model provider (DeepSeek) to interpret the style you are asking for. The provider receives only the description text and the style tag you selected - never your account credentials, billing details, or any other personal data. The resulting style parameters and the generated font files are stored on our servers so you can re-download them later. You can delete your generations at any time from your dashboard or by contacting support@pandada.ai.

4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

• Contract: to provide the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse and improve the product.
• Consent: for optional marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: to retain transaction and license records where required.

5. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate AIFont:

• Payment processing: Creem handles card and checkout data for subscriptions.
• AI processing: DeepSeek receives your font description text to produce style parameters.
• Email delivery: your email provider sends verification and password-reset messages.
• Infrastructure and error monitoring: hosting, database and crash-reporting providers that process data only on our instructions.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the rights and safety of AIFont, our users or the public, or as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

6. Data retention

• Accounts and font generations: retained for as long as your account is active, and for up to 30 days after deletion.
• License certificates: retained while your account is active so you can re-download them.
• Billing and transaction records: retained for the period required by tax and accounting law.
• Technical logs: rotated automatically after a limited period.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Request a portable copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, including profiling.
• Withdraw consent for optional communications.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@pandada.ai. We respond within 30 days. You can also export or delete your data directly from the app (Dashboard → account settings). If you are in the EEA or UK and are unsatisfied with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries, all strictly necessary to operate the service:

• Session / authentication cookie - keeps you signed in securely.
• "Remember me" cookie - keeps you signed in for 30 days when you ask us to.
• Language preference - remembers whether you chose English or Chinese.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or third-party analytics trackers. Blocking cookies in your browser may prevent parts of the app from working.

9. Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic, hashed passwords (bcrypt), signed and expiring session tokens, rate limiting on authentication endpoints, server-side input validation and restricted access to production data. No system is perfectly secure, but we continuously work to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant authority if a breach affects your personal data.

10. International transfers

AIFont is remote-first and its providers may process data outside your country, including the United States and the European Economic Area. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards for international transfers.

11. Children

AIFont is a professional design tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@pandada.ai and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced by email or a notice in the product before they take effect.
